Also this is Sister Turpin from Pocatello Idaho and she has been out 9 months! I love her! This is at MLC (missionary leader conference) and so the next couple weeks we will be preparing our training for zone conferences! We are focusing a lot on repentance. I really like what president trained us about teaching repentance and baptizing converts! He said that the quality of our teaching determines the quality of our converts. We don't just want baptisms but baptized converts that will go to the temple in a year.
We take what we learned from MLC and coordinate with the zone leaders with what we teach the zone... sometimes I am amazed with how much trust the mission president has in us... but I am excited and nervous! haha We have a zone conference on March 3rd and March 9th so pray for us!
Here we are with the temple. We need to plan a date when we can all go to the temple when I get home. That would be awesome. I get to go through the temple on March 30th with all the departing missionaries. Super excited.
We have had a really great week. We are teaching lots. One of our investigators named Patrick didn't come to church. You would think since our church starts at 1pm sleeping in wouldn't be a common excuse anymore but I guess I am wrong. It doesn't matter if church starts at 9am or 1pm people still like to sleep in on Sundays. So we taught Patrick how to repent the other day. It went well. He is the investigator that is struggling with addictions. He is cool.
We had a lot of fun street contacting the other day too! The weather has been so nice it is hard not to want to walk around!
