I'm a mom

Hello Family!
I don't know if I liked those pictures... I can't believe Brandon is home!! I bet ya he is a changed man! That is so cool!
I just dropped off my companion at the mission home this morning. She is going home as well. I will be staying in St. Louis with two other sisters until I get my new companion. Hopefully we will do something fun in St. Louis today like the science center or something.
Anyways I don't know who my companion is yet because I am going to be a mom!! I am training a new missionary fresh from the mtc! I don't know how I feel about it! I am not nervous yet. But I hope it goes well. I am kind of excited as well.
Things are doing well in Fulton. The guy who says peace love and no bugs wants to get baptized but he has been in the hospital a lot. He has been really sick.
I don't know what else I want to say. just keep me in your prayers haha
Love you all!

The pictures are my district saying goodbye to my companion and a piano with flying cats in outer space that was in the streets of Columbia Missouri! It was cool we were playing it for a bit!

Jay Fisher

Hello Family!
This week has been wonderful and awful all at the same time.
One of our progressing investigators completely flopped on us. He went from being excited about the gospel and getting baptized to full out doubt and unbelieving. It sucked. We tried everything to help with his concerns. We told him to read scriptures, we gave him mormon messages to watch we fasted for him. I never prayed so hard for an investigator before. and nothing happened. He still doesn't want to meet with us. He said he didn't read any anti material he is just done. He told us that he will just figure out if it is true when he dies and if that sends him to hell then he is fine with that. I don't know why this is happening it has made me really mad. It makes me mad because God has been in his life this whole time and he just doesn't see it. But it made me realize that God is always there. He is always reaching out or knocking on that door with no door nob. If we are struggling with our faith it is because of us. We are the ones closing the door. We are the ones who are not seeing. And it gives me a taste of Gods sorrow when one of his children turn away from him. It sucks!
But God has also blessed us because I got to go to the temple and it was so refreshing. It was a reminder that everything is going to be okay. Everything is going to work out! :)
The Elders in Jeff City gave us a referral and it was a lady and her son. They met her at work and gave her a book of mormon. Her name is Jay Fisher!! Her son is 15 and has gone to youth activities at Fulton before! We met her and she was really nice and we were excited that we had the same last names! I want to look into it a little more and see if we are related :) She is out camping this week but next week we are going to meet up and share more with her and she said that she wants to come to church on sunday
Also on sunday a member came up to us and told us that her Foster child wants to take the lessons. So we need to figure out the rules for baptizing a foster child because we either need permission from he biological parents or the state.
It is important to remember as a missionary to respect the agency of others. God respects that agency too. But god answered my prayers by preparing more people for us to teach. And I am so grateful. I love being a missionary. I feel like God is teaching me so much with every experience I have.
I love you all! Have a great week :

Half Way Mark

Hello Family!
It has been another busy week! We had exchanges this week and I stayed in Fulton with Sister Gadi!! Who was my companion in Webster Groves! It was good to be her companion again for a day. I love that girl! And then on Saturday the stake ask me and my companion and some return elder missionaries to go to youth conference and be part of a panel thing where the youth got to ask us a bunch of questions about missionary work. It was actually really fun! Our room was one of the more popular classes! haha
We are teaching this guy who has no legs and he is so weird and funny. His voicemail on his phone goes like this, "Greeting earthlings! You've reached Phillip! I am probably on another galaxy ride right now but if you leave your name and a brief message I will gladly get back to you! Peace, love and no bugs! Bye!"
Yep these are the kind of people I am working with :) haha jk I love it! It makes my life more interesting.
I am so excited because I am going to the St.Louis temple this week because I hit my half way mark! It will be great :)
Well hope you have a great week!

Peace love and no bugs!
Love ya'll!

4th of July

Hello Family!
I just got off the phone with the vehicle coordinator and you can now be at peace. They have a copy of my drivers license. I should be getting my license at my Fulton address any day now. Also I only want one loonie and one toonie sent to me. that is good enough for me.
This week was a pretty good week. We had zone conference on thursday and I got dragged into singing America the Beautiful with two other missionaries. Of course they make the canadian sing it haha But it was a good conference.
another highlight was we picked up a new investigator! And he is a paraplegic! he met some missionaries at a nursing home in Columbia and they taught him the restoration and he really liked the message. He lives in Fulton so the missionaries referred him to us and we saw him the next day! We taught him a little bit and we invited him to church! He was going to ride his wheel chair all the way to church but we got him a ride and he came! and enjoyed it! I can't wait to baptized him! I have always wanted to teach a guy in a wheel chair! it has always been a weird desire of mine.
I didn't do anything for Canada day but the 4th of july was pretty fun! We were told to proselyte until 5pm and then we got the rest of the day off. some members had us over for dinner and then we saw the fireworks in Fulton.
We also got to see some cool cridders!
Don't show grandma this picture!! this is nagini (Like the snakes name in harry potter)

And we also saw a snapping turtle on the road!!!! don't worry I didn't touch it!

Anyways! have fun with mom not being around! thanks for being awesome and have a great week!
Love you!!

Berlin Wall

Hello family!
I had a great birthday! I went to the Winston Churchill museum and it was very fascinating. After WW2 Winston Churchill visited the West Minster College and gave a famous speech called the iron curtain. I saw a piece of the Berlin wall too. It was interesting. Made me wish I was in England.
Gru from despicable me ;) haha jokes

Berlin Wall

We also had our mini missionary this week! She was a lot of fun! Her name is Sister Geiger. She went home yesterday.

I think I beat you with weather by a long shot. You may have the heat but at least you don't have the heat and the humidity. and tornadoes. And lots of rain. Yesterday a tornado hit ground just outside of Fulton. There was rain and hail and the sirens were going off. It didn't last very long though. Before you knew it, it was sunny again. We were safe. we were at a members home at the time.

This is what we saw on the way to the members home.
I really like the Fulton Ward because I will also get to practice my sign language a little bit! There is a school for the deaf in Fulton so there are a few people here who are hard of hearing. We have an interpreter at church and I get distracted during church watching the interpreter. I now know how to say that "I am a missionary from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" in sign language! :)
With our mini missionary we found someone who was hard of hearing and we got to use our sign language skills a little bit. luckily this guy could read lips too haha. But we were tracting and knocked on his door and he was really big and kinda scary looking and he didn't seem that interested but we continued to share simple truths of what we believe with him. He told us that he doesn't believe in organized religion anymore. but he said that he knows someone in Kansas City who might be interested. So we left him with stuff and our phone number.
We knocked on other doors and then decided to leave but then this same guy called out to us and was like "Hey missionaries!" we talked to him a bit longer and he asked us if we knew someone and that someone just so happened to be someone in our ward! This guy is really cool and we were able to get his phone number and invited him to church. He said he was willing to give it a try. He didn't come to church but he sent us a text message that morning telling that his sinus and allergies were flaring up and that he wouldn't be coming but that he would try for next week. At least he sent us a text right!?! That is way better than not showing up at all! We will stay in touch with him :)
Anyways I can't believe we are already starting week three of the transfer. It has been a busy transfer and I am having a lot of fun with Sister Nordstrom!
Good job on the race guys! I want to do it next year with yall.
Hope you have a great week!
