So it sounds like fall is coming into play back in Canada? It is quite hot in Utah. But it has been raining a lot in the past few days.
My whole letter will just answer your question about the MTC cuz I have a lot to say about the MTC. First of all... The MTC is AMAZING!! But I got to be honest, I am getting tired of the some old song Called to Serve. It is a very popular song sung in the MTC. I am learning so much! When you first come to the MTC they put an orange dot on your name tag so that everyone knows your new. When missionaries see that orange dot on your name tag they say, "Welcome to the MTC!". It was awesome! SO because I came early to the MTC, I got that for two days! Because I came to the MTC a day early and so no one in my district was here yet. So they just let me tag along with international missionaries. I got to meet people from all over the world!! Australia, Italy, Tonga, England, Fiji... It was cool! Also Elder M. Russell Ballard came Tuesday night to speak to us and it was amazing! So first they paired me up with a little Filipino girl named Sister Baricante. She had never been to the temple before to get her endowments so Wednesday morning I got to go through the Provo Temple with her as her escort! The provo temple is beautiful!
People in my district came that afternoon so I then got my real first companions. I am in a trio. my companions are Sister Adams and Sister Madsen. They are both from Utah. Actually I am the only one in my district who is not from Utah! So I soon became Sister Canada haha. There is 8 people in my district. 5 Elders and 3 Sisters. We are all going to Missouri together. Then we have a Zone. (Which is us pared up with another district) And I am the only one who is not from America. Me and my companions are the only Sisters in the Zone so we automatically got called as the Sister Training Leaders which means we will be training the new sisters who come this Wednesday.
They keep us SO busy at the MTC! We wake up no later than 6:30am and we are doing something till 10:30pm. The days feel like they mesh together because of how busy we are. I can't believe it has been a week! Classes, Meetings, Personal study time, Companion study time, Appointments with investigators... It's crazy!! And we do a lot of role playing! It seems like that is all we do! We even started teaching people on the second day we got here. Our investigator, Shawn, (who is actually our teacher) Is awesome! I love this guy and He is not even a real person! It's weird. Our teacher is such a good actor, halfway through the lesson I start to forget that this is just practice! I have been loving this so much! It has been a spiritual, stressful, growing experience! I feel love all the time! I also went to the Provo temple again this morning for endowments! And we are going to hear from another apostle tomorrow for the Tuesday devotional. I don't know which apostle though. You will have to tune in to next week!
One thing that I have learned that I want to share with you is that Growing is falling forward. That is was President Towsey (My Branch President) taught us. It is certain that we will fail in life. We will fall and make mistakes. But that is part of the growing process. He also said that There is no growth in a comfort zone and there is no comfort in a growing zone. I have definitely stepped out of my comfort zone but I am loving every minute of it because of how much I have grown! I love missionary work! I love the MTC! I feel so pumped!
To answer Marva's question, We do have breakfast on Sundays in the MTC but we didn't this sunday because it was fastsunday. Next Sunday is General conference and we will be having breakfast haha. But it will be very different because we will be watching all the sessions! The missionaries are singing in the choir for general conference but only the Elders because they are singing in Priesthood session. I am so jealous!! Also hello to Dave Mulholland.
I love you and I pray for you every day!! (That is another thing we do a lot! We pray before we do everything and I can promise you praying changes everything! Miracles happen because of prayer!!)
I will hear from you next monday :)
